Alternative to joint AST
My 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom flat occupied by 2 professional unrelated tenants. They share the kitchen, living area and hallway.
The lead tenant is invoking the 6 month break clause and will be leaving next February.
The other tenant wishes to stay and is happy to share with a new tenant BUT does not want to sign-up to a new joint tenancy agreement (whether or not as lead tenant) due to his concerns with joint and several liability.
What alternatives are there?
