The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and fire risk assesments
I have just installed hard wired fire alarms, fire doors,door closers, fire extinguishers, upgrading cellar ceilings, etc on the orders of Manchester City Council, costing many thousands.
I have been told that they do not require this now, just a fire risk assessment at each property annually.
Under the above act do I have to carry out fire risk assesments to all my properties?
Is this true? If so can I do these myself?
Does anybody else know about this?
Did I have to do all of this work?
If we all hyave to do these, where is the advice on this website?
