I am currently temporarily renting out my home of 22 years whilst I live in rented accommodation out of the area. I am anticipating this situation will be no longer than 3 years max when I then intend to return it to being my home. Would I be better to set up an Owner Occupier Tenancy Agreement. Would this be more of a safeguard for my home for the future than say an AST? It is my family home and imperative it is safeguarded. It is not just a `cash cow` that I can sell if things don`t work out. It is a house and I will be renting to a family preferably 6 or 12 monthly.
