We are arranging for one of our properties to be transferred to our son as a gift. It is tenanted and we have explained the situation to the tenant who has been there some years and is currently on a roll over tenancy. Do we need to draw up a new agreement in our sons name. The tenants prefer to be on the monthly rollover rather than a fixed term. We are of course arranging for the rent to be paid into an account in our sons name which he will declare for tax purposes and will be notifying the revenue of the gift for cgt
