A tenant has moved a dog into the property despite (1) my initial ad stating no pets (2)the terms of her tenancy agreement (I use RLA's standard AST)(3) our specific refusal to an earlier specific request from the Tenant. I would add that the tenant is not disabled: the dog is not a guide dog. RLA's previous advice was that the Landlord could not contest this type of situation on the grounds of the Tenant's "human rights". Is that advice still current? If so is there any case law to back it up and what about university provided student accommodation and many care homes (to name two strong examples) which generally apply the ruling of no pets?
