May I ask what are the main advantages or disadvantages of having an Owner Occupier Agreement vs shorthold assured tenancy?
If the dwelling to be let is an independent unit( has its own water and energy supplies) within the Landlord's own home(i.e. same building) and registered with its own council tax - what would be the best contract to present?
Being that I've had unfortunate experience with previous rent arrears, squatters, court baliffs (terribly stressful)- so then, when letting the unit, is there any advantage to keep the unit registered with the council in the Landlord's name?

thanks for advice.
