I have just been conditionally granted an HMO licence for a property and the council has asked me to replace a panel heater with a GCH rad as the one and only condition of granting the licence. There are 5 bedrooms, 4 have GCH, this one is on the top floor, essentially in the loft space and is a fairly small room. I want to avoid the expense of extending the GCH into there, especially since the electric panel heater is wall mounted with a timer. Can I resist the demand for a new rad or should I just accede to their command?
