Agent slow to handover check out report and deposit
Hi, my tenant moved out on 2 July. The agent has not yet shared the check out report with me. I want to apply to make a deduction from the deposit owing to some damage to new flooring I laid just before that tenant moved in. I read somewhere that this process must be completed within 30 days of the tenant moving out. Is this true? If so, what can I do to speed the agent up. If it helps, the deposit is with the Deposit Protection Service and the agent is registered with the Property Ombudsman. Thanks
