Bully Estate agents want to dictate terms
Agent has found a tenant but is insisting on taking the rent from them, then forwarding to landlady (my daughter!) they will not accept payment in full as finders fee, (7%) but insist on deducting 7% from monthly rent before forwarding.
Also they have agreed one month rent equivalent as security deposit, without consulting my daughter. We usually insist on 1.5 months rent. Now to late to change.
My daughter is also registered with "My Deposits" but agent will not release deposit to her, and is insisting on using their own scheme.
Any redress possible? Can they insist on these points - are they valid? My daughter has not signed a contract, nor seen any form of documents outlining these points.
Where does she go from here?
tenants due to move in next week!
