Hi, we are in the process of ordering a new kitchen for a rented property. Could someone advise us if we need to contact the local authority to let them know and does the electrical work need to be installed by a qualified electrician. The fitter says he will do electrics such as sockets ect and get his electrician to run cooker to consumer unit and sign it off.
Never had major work done before and the building regs seem to be a minefield.
Thank you in advance for any advice.
