Can anyone please advise?
A tenant left my property in February this year and gave my name to the electric supply company when he left?
As I travel alot the house sat empty until July until new tenant moved in.
This electric company is now billing me for about £350 for the electric bill.
Am I legally responsible to pay this bill because this was not myself that opened this electric account.
Also £350 seems very expensive for a property that has say empty for the period they are billing me, especially after everything was switch off for this period?
Would it be the ombudsman I would need to go through because they keep ignoring my letters and sending me the bill?
Any help would be much appreciated .
