Eviction from a "rolling" tenancy for non payment of rent
Could you please advise what notice I need to serve. The tenants have been in the property since May 2013, initially on a 6 month agreement but which automatically became a rolling tenancyat the end of the initial 6 month period badly advised at the time. They are now more than £7000 in arrears and we need to evict them on the grounds of non payment of rent. Ideally we would like to receive some rental payment but realistically this is unlikely as I have since discovered they owe money to a number of other parties and bailiffs have already visited the property but were unable to take possession of any material goods as they were all bought on HP. The priority now is to get them out.
