Our tenants have somehow managed to damage the extractor hood in the kitchen they say they will replace so it must be bad. I am visiting later today to take a look. So, the extractor hood will need to be replaced and the kitchen needs repainting. I took out insurance for the extractor hood but as it was the tenant that has damaged the hood is it down to them to replace or would the landlord claim for the hood?
We have landlords insurance of course but should tenants have their own insurance?
If anyone has had an experience like this any advice would be greatly appreciated.
