I am a landlord own two properties) who presently rents myself.( i have no home to live in which belongs to me I have found a residential propertyto buy for me and my wife and baby to live in but my solicitor has told me that even though this will be the first property i have ever owned that I will live in as a home I will have to pay the regular SDLT plus the additional 3%Landlord tax. Ii cannot believe this is right,can anyone give me a firm definition on this please? NB tried all day ringing HMRC they are useless.
