Hello - I've been told by my letting agents that the smoke detectors I have installed (and which are wired up to the mains electricity) require an expiry date on them (which presumably means they must be replaced at this date). I have checked the advice on this website dealing with smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors but can't find reference to expiry dates. Is this (requirement for expiry dates) true or not?
