Guarantor agree to clear arrears after tenancy ends
I have a tenancy that is in arrears. The tenant is giving notice to move out 22nd February, and will try to clear some of the arrears before then, but there are likely to be substantial arrears still outstanding.
There are 2 guarantors
One of the guarantors has said that he agrees to fully repay the debt within 3 months from now, which will be April / May, and will agree something in writing.
Any idea how we can pursue him for the debt, and how to do it, once the tenancy has actually ended, as the tenancy agreement states that his liability as a guarantor ends when th tenancy ends. We could draw up an agreement to be signed by ourselves and the guarantor, but would need help with the wording. Thanks
