Our tenant will be leaving the property towards the end of February.

We have had a few problems and have returned the bond as it was not registered. We were going to serve a Section 21 in the next few weeks, but it is looking like she will have gone before this.

We have a copy of the inventory she signed at the start of the Shorthold tenancy.

I am trying to put a list of the things we need to do.

I will arrange a date to inspect the property, with the inventory.

We need the date she will be moving asap.

We need her new address and telephone number.

She needs to inform rates, water, electricity, gas, telephone and re-direct her post. We need to know who supplies the gas and electric. We will also contact these.

Ee need to notify insurance company.

We also need take meter readings and check that the meters have not been changed to token meters.

She needs to return all keys.

I plan to put in writing that we need to inspect the property and it must be left clean and tidy and remove all rubbish. (We need to check the loft at time of inspection.)

Check smoke alarms and carbon monoxide monitors still there.

Are there any forms or anything she should sign before she goes.

Is there anything else we need to do?

This is the first time we will have had a tenant leave the property.
