Planning Permission Confusion
I have just read the section on planning here which is very helpful, but I am still confused as it seems to conflict with my initial consutation with my council.
I want to convert my garage into a guest/lodger suite and add a couple of stud walls. The works would involve NO external changes at all.
I suspect my house has had permitted development rights removed. However the section on the RLA site says this isn't relevant as internal works don't count as development anyway, so no permissions needed.
However, the council indicated that permission may be required because of the likely lack of PD.
Can anyone clear this up please as I would like more knowledge before I approach the couincil again. Thank you!
