i have a flat which is above a supermarket which i have had for many years. the management fees used to be about 700 pounds a year but over the last year they have shot up to 3,000 pounds per year as maintenance had to be carried out of the roof. the repairs were apportioned just to the flats. my question is why does the supermarket pay their share as it is their roof as well. i have asked the management company to chase it up but after 6 months they have done nothing. can you please advise if the supermarket is liable and how far can they backdate there fees?
