Had a Landlord boiler certificate done last week and the plumber said it was now law to have a carbon monoxide alarm working and fitted. It is a HMO and there are all smoke alarms and heat alarms as well as fire blankets - but I was not aware that this was not a regulation. I did have a working carbon monoxide alarm on a shelf adjacent to the boiler and he was happy with this. I do have another apartment - do i need to provide a carbon monoxide alarm for this?
