Tenant notice period
Once a normal monthly AST tenancy has become periodic, I understand that the tenant must give a minimum of one month's notice to quit. However, does this also have to end on a rent-due-day? For example, if the rent-due-day was the 1st of the month, the earliest date for which a tenant could give notice as of today would be 1st May? Is this correct as I know there have been some changes in the law around this lately? Thanks
