I am confused. I currently understand that I can not make a profit from selling on electric to my tenants.

However if I get by own meters and install them in each room where each tenant knows what they are using and pays for it with the purchase of cards then can I make a proft?

this quote is confusing me from

https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/ofgem-publications/74486/11782-resaleupdateoct05.pdf

Where is says under "The costs of metering services"

If I have read it correctly , if I get electric from say british gas then have seperate meters in each room that I have installed myself then the max resale price does not apply

Is this correct, I am assuming the rooms would then also have a payment card system in order to purchase the electric
