Need some advice please
We have had an enquiry about the property we hope to be letting soon. We are in the throws of sorting the house and garden out from a previous tenant, a single mum and two children. The house and gardens have been left in a dreadful state and the kitchen has been damaged deliberately by her before she left.
The person making the enquiry is a mother, whose son and three children are living with her in one bedroom. He was made bankrupt 5 years ago.
We don't want to go down the route of single parent with children again. It is costing us alot financially and also in time trying to put everything right after this last tenant.
What sort of reply can we give without being discriminating?
We do need advice in how to turn people down as we haven't done this before. Our previous tenant was found by an estate agent. We want to eliminate as much risk as we can to prevent the same thing happening again.
