Right to Rent
Can a Landlord / Lady specify that they will not take tenants that are not unlimited time to stay and rent in UK ?
I thought we had to be seen to be non prejudicial and judgmental in these issues - if they earn the money, pass references and then Right to Rent then surely they can rent ?
I do understand that a Landlord has a right to say no pets etc but surely not the Right to Rent unlimited time issue when it is then renewed with new documentation later on - also when they made me sign a doc stating that it was my responsibility as Agent to ensure all the regulations - including obvs R2R regulations were all met - which I did - after all if I cannot be trusted to do it all why have an Agent ? (she is a solicitor)
Any thoughts please ?
