Hi. I have an Order for Possession obtained via Section 8 route and a Bailiffs Appointment is set for early April. It appears that the tenant has now abandoned the property. Once the Bailiffs appointment has been carried out - how long do I need to give the tenant to remove his belongings and can I start the clock ticking now?
Also I intend to pursue the tenant for the rent arrears, I know where he is working and just need to find out his address, which is not a problem for me. Is the best way to pursue the rent arrears through an Attachment of Earnings? I do not think he has any assets of value and I am currently waiting for the results of an Attachments of Earnings search. Do you have any other advice for me regarding getting the rent arrears paid.
Thank you
