Vaping / using E Cigarettes in the home
Some info for those unsure about how this affects your property. Its a relatively new area for landlords who are aware of the impacts of smoking in a property- smell, tar and nicotine ingrained in carpets and furnishings with a film of stickyness on all surfaces. E Cigarettes are said to produce only water vapour, by those who sell them. BUT I can tell you from experience that these also leave a sticky film behind on all surfaces and soft furnishings. I even used a steam cleaner on windows and it still refused to shift the muck.
My advice is to include vaping in the same restricted use as smoking in your property, unless you want to spend hours cleaning up while your ex tenant bids you farewell!
