Landlord Insurance needed?
I'm a new private landlord just starting out (hence joining RLA). I'm renting my flat out for the first time unfurnished (except for a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer and oven) it is part of a leasehold block with a separate managing agent.
The managing agent provides buildings insurance as part of the annual service charge, therefore:
- Do i even need Landlords insurance for a few white goods? or
- Do i get Landlords insurance but for a nominal value of both building and contents value, to cover a worst case scenario?
Any views or comments would be appreciated.
