Tenant finding damage or problems when redecorating.
I have had a tenant stripe wallpaper from the living room and they have found (not done by me) the wall not not be plastered smooth. It appears that a door was there originally, before I purchased the property, and the previous owners have patched it with plasterboard. The tenants want me to pay for the room to be plastered so they have a smooth finish that they are able to paint.
I want to issue tenants with a standard letter stating if they choose to redecorate then the work they carry out must be to an acceptable standard and if they find anything they are reasonable for it, within reason.
Struggling with the wording and format.
Can anyone offer any help?
