I own a leasehold flat (160 years lease remaining) which has a loft room which I have been using for 14 years and has not been entered by the freeholder since I bought the property14 years ago. The loft room in question is defined in the lease as being owned by the freeholder.
The freeholders is claiming I am trespassing and that I have turned the loft room into a habitable space 'illegally' as they have realised I have been using it for over 12 years.
Any advise on my chances of being awarded the loft space through adverse possession and any advice on how I can achieve this would be appreciated ?
