I registered a insured deposit protection with DPS in October 2016, who sent me an e-mail in March requesting I update their online record to show if tenancy will cease or go into periodic. Unfortunately this e-mail was over looked, and they have now closed the registration, advising the deposit is no longer protected, and I will have to start a new tenancy agreement for further protection.
I issued a section 21 on the 1st March, due to expire 4th May. My question is, given that the deposit was protected when it was issued, will I still be able to enforce the section 21?. Will be very grateful for any advice offered by Landlord team and members.
