On the One Show 8th May it talked about identity theft and Angela Rippon mentioned it will be shown more in full in a program called Rip Off Britain on 9th May, where it showed one person who had had his identity stolen and his house was transferred and put on auction. Luckily for him, his daughter worked in an estate agents and saw the house on auction. It spoke about how landlords could be vulnerable to ID theft even by their rouge tenants.

Unfortunately in the program I donít remember what could be done for landlords to protect themselves. If anyone is aware of what we can do to ensure that we can try to minimize the risk I am sure this information would be valuable to myself and the vast majority of landlords.
