Morning all...
I am looking for a solicitor in ideally the chesterfield area but not exclusively that specialises in builder/ Architect disputes. I am looking for a recommendation rather than a pin in the map!
Basically, we did a conversion of an ex pub from commercial to residential.
2 years down the line, a prospective buyers survey has found damp in the inside of some external walls and the buyers have pulled out as they expected a 2 year conversion to not have damp.
After removing a windowsill we find the contractor has dot n dabbed gypsum boards directly onto the brick resulting in cold spots bringing penetration damp in.
We have been advised that either he or the Architect are liable for not advising or completing this aspect correctly and we in turn have a case against them for losses.
Cheers Guys
