Hi, we currently have a tenancy coming to an end. We have done a pre-inspection and provided the tenant with a list of problems which need to be fixed for the apartment to be handed over and/or reconciled with the inventory inspection they originally signed off for the property.

I was wondering whether there is an accepted period of time after the property has been handed over for deposits to be returned in - 5 working days or something?

If the property is not up to standard for the handover and additional work is required does the have to be escalated to TDS even if there is no dispute because part of the deposit money is being used for payment?

Once the deposit has been returned does the landlord (me) have to inform TDS that the account has been closed?

Would be grateful for your thoughts and advice one this. Many thanks
