Fire Risk Assessment frequency
I am the Leaseholder for a property that contains 4 seperate flats and it has the regulatory mains supplied fire alarm system but requires a Fire Risk Assessment to be carried out on the communal areas (i.e the enterance hallway and stairs). I usually do this every 6 months myself but will be moving away and this will not be possible in the future. I have phoned a couple of fire safety inspector companies and they all say it should be carried out every 3 months which is obviously quite expensive and seems slightly un-nessecary.
What is the legislation on the frequency of a fire risk assessment being carried out as I though it was once a year and going it twice a year would be more than sufficient?
