Would love to hear thoughts on this:

I'm a landlord who moved to a new area to build a portfolio. Decided to rent for a while and research local market. Have to say, my current landlords 'do things differently' - they live next door and don't seem to understand the definition of landlord.

Although I'm irked, I'm also rather proud of my own approach to my tenants and property management. I realise how vital proper training is, and think perhaps it should be made compulsory.

Wales has brought this in, but now I'm back in England, I've met a couple of LL who do not see the benefit / point of accreditation and ongoing training.
Do tenants really care? Should there perhaps be tax incentives for accredited landlords, to encourage professional development etc?

Would love to hear thoughts on this.
