I posted a message some time ago regarding a student tenant's visa running out. I e mailed the Home Office to report the matter and had an acknowledgement. Since then the tenant has provided proof his Government have given him permission to remain as a student funded by them and despite reminders he hasn't had his visa granted yet a and keeps saying it will be a few days. Are we putting ourselves in a vulnerable position as far as the law is concerned here? I am mindful to give him notice under Section 8 if I can so ensure we can evict him to protect ourselves. Is this the correct course of action?
