How much of repair is tenants responsibility?
We have a tenant who has been putting wet wipes down the toilet where there is a macerator and worn out the motor plates within the unit, the unit was one year old. Obviously my question is not whether the tenant is liable for costs or not as I know they area.
My question is for how much of the cost is the tenant liable the macerator was not a new unit that was one year old but we would obviously have expected to last more than one year. Do I need to take not charging for betterment into account? I.e. the unit should last five years itís lasted one, charge them the percentage for four years it didnít last?
