Use of Rent Books for weekly rents
Do you still need to provide a Rent Book for tenants who pay weekly by standing order (as opposed to cash)?
A Lawpack Rent Book states that its purpose is as a receipt for the tenant and as a log of rent for the landlord, but a bank statement can do the same. Clearly a Rent Book can log arrears but the legal bumf within it is duplicated in the AST anyway.
