Banning of letting agent/landlord fees
It's been widely advertised that charging of fees will be banned.
I haven't seen that this has happened yet - can anyone advise either way?
The agent I use for finding a tenant only has preempted this and is about to start charging me more (£TBA!). If the ban hasn't yet happened, is there anything to stop me charging some form of 'admin fee' to the tenant to cover the extra cost - and if I can, what's a good description?
Finally, I guess the final solution when (if) the ban happens is to increase rent to cover the costs. What average length of tenancy are people planning on using when calculating the extra rent?
