Transitioning from Letting Agent to Self Management
I no longer wish to annually pay my letting agent 10% of my income for what I perceive to be very little in return, nor was it properly explained when I took it out some years ago.
How do I go about doing this?
I've only been contacted regarding renewal very recently, and I've seen in the agency/lettings agent contract:
"If a landlord wishes to terminate the tenancy 3 months notice in writing must be given to (lettings agent) to enable us to serve the required notice period on the tenant."
Thing is I don't wish to terminate the tenancy, I'd like to keep the tenant, for him to pay me directly and lose my letting agent. Thats the only clause in the contract I can see being problematic.
