What if tenants destroy the S21, pleading ignorance of it's service...
Hello colleagues. Supporting an ex client who served a S21 [witnesses, photographic evidence] 29th Nov 2017. He's contacted today to say he's discovered that the S21 was ceremoniously burnt in the garden,[neighbours invited] on the day it was served through the letter box.
He's suggesting now serving another, I've stayed his hand just for now. He's panicking because he knows the hard-boiled tnts will use that ruse [what S21??] when the S21 deadline passes.Has anyone ever 'reminded' tnts via email that now they have just one month to go before the S21 [
served on 29th Nov] ends.
My thoughts are that a 2nd copy served...would also be put to the match.
A reminder email on 29th Jan reminding them of S21 service on 29th Nov ..would be part of the evidence trail.
Colleagues thoughts/opinions are sought please. Is this type of retaliation usual with punitive tenants? Thanks in advance.
