I have informed Council verbally and by email of new tenancy and tenant name. They keep trying to insist I fill in an online form which asks more about tenant and whether to apply for single occupancy reduction and assumes it is the new person filling it in. You cannot proceed with the form unless this info is given, but it isn't for me to say. All I want is an accurate closing bill. I've paid what I was told verbally but was warned this might come out slightly differently on bill and they wanted something in writing - hence my email. Phone call and immediate payment for any void used to work well for both but no longer, it seems. Does anyone else experience this? Surely if I give the info by email that's enough?
