Only found out a week ago that Corpus Christie College in Cambridge had issued a Winding Up Petition against my Letting Agent. I've been hassling for the rent since last Sept and not seen a penny - but was told it was because the tenant was being problematic.
Court granted the Petition today, and issued an Order to Wind Up.

I checked with the DPS and fortunately the tenant's deposit is still with them.
The Agent has disappeared off the face of the earth, leaving around £100K worth of debts.

The problem at hand is the contract situation. The Tenant has been at the house since 2009, and wants to continue staying there.
I assume the contract with the Agent is now null and void?
Can I just start a new AST with her?
What to do about the deposit - can I get it transferred to me?
