Thumb screw bedroom locks were fitted to my HMO property several years ago.The students required these to provide insurance cover for their personal possessions while absent from the house. With a change of Letting agents, the students are no longer issued with keys because they have signed a "Joint & several contract & this would invalidate the agreement should bedroom keys be issued" Is this correct & how do they "protect their items?"
