Is there a need for survey?
I am buying a one bed flat, in a block of four purpose build flats built in 1970s, brick under a tiled roof. Not ex local authority. It is a leasehold property and a ground rent and service charge are payable, the freeholder is responsible for the outside of the property. The flat is double glazed and appears to be well maintained by the venders, who were the occupants and have owned the property for 11 years.. It is on the first floor.
Question: Should I bother with a homebuyers survey? Please qualify your answers.
