Gas Certificates - confirmation of receipt
Following the recent case of a S21 failing due to the tenant not being provided with a gas certificate, I am thinking how I best manage the process.
Typically I have been emailing the gas certificate and now ask for confirmation of receipt, but 9 times out of 10 the tenant does not confirm back.
The gas engineer used to leave a copy of the certificate at the property, but this is no longer happening as the certificates are now electronic.
What is everyone else doing? Should I be ensuring receipt? Do most people just email it and assume its fine?
Even having the tenant agree to receive communication via email, does not confirm receipt of the email.
