We rent a property on a room by room basis to students. We intend to issue a bills inclusive tenancy agreement for the next academic year. The contract we have used previously has been the RLA Room Only AST but the way this is worded is that it implies that the tenant is responsible for the payment of bills. Can we continue to use that model agreement and if so how do we address the issue of us, as landlords, paying the bills. I'm assuming it's not appropriate to meddle with the wording of the model contract.
