I was advised yesterday on your online chat we must serve a section 48 to inform the tenants the landlord has changed however I have just seen a blog on http://www.landlordlawblog.co.uk/2017/01/23/warning-new-landlords-taking-existing-tenancies/ that a section 3(a) needs to be served now rather than the section 48 to protect the previous landlord. can you advise please as we are confused or are we reading it wrongly ? thank you
