Getting deposit money owed when tenant is reluctant to assist
My tenant has left the property with work required in order to return it to its previous condition. The deposit is in the TDS scheme. He accepts that he has lost his deposit but it seems that the only way I can get it released is with his consent, probably via email). He accepts he has lost the deposit but does not have email or a computer now and says he cannot recall his password. He may be deliberately being difficult. He has moved out and we do not have his forwarding address. How can I get the deposit money he owes me?
