I have 1 property &let it through an agency. I am thinking of doing it myself when the current agreement lapses as the tenants are good &have been there a while now. The letting agency charges for an "Assured rent" insurance whereby they will pay the rent in the event of the tenants defaulting. It costs about 2% of the rental income.

Is there such a thing out there for landlords to take out or is it purely a scheme that my agency funds in the event of this happening?
